Summer Plans

I plan on finding a job and working out most of the summer. I hope to be ripped and rich by August. Also I will spend countless hours playing video games, swimming, and hanging with friends. I hope this summer turns out to be the greatest of all time. From here on out I consider myself an adult and I will have to grow up but I plan on prolonging the process.

Game Progress

We finally made some progress on coding the game. Unfortunately, I also discovered there were many errors with the former format of our game and am now having to completely redo mostly everything. I have to rebuild all the levels so that they can be coded properly. Now that I have a better idea of whats going on the game is coming along okay. I am currently in the process of stretching out the levels so that my character can navigate them properly.

Off the Wall Claims

Apparently a Muslim prophet has made the outrageous claim that earthquakes are caused by women wearing scantily clad clothing. I would beg to differ. If this was a true statement then the world would have ended long ago. I mean just take a look at a local high school at the way some of the girls dress or at some woman in your town that believe they are hot stuff. If the claim about earthquakes were true then the world would have ended a long, long time ago along with the obese girls wearing short shorts and the grown women who think they are still eighteen and dress like it.

Game Progress

My team game for all visual purposes is complete; however, the coding of the game is another story. I don't believe anyone in this class a clue on how to code with the exception of like two kids. The game that I chose to make is very difficult to code and I was unaware of the difficulty before I started. Having been aware of the level of difficulty I probably would have chosen a different game type. For instance instead of a platform game like Mario I would have created interactive labyrinth of death like Taylor Ross and Kelsey Lewis.

My previous plans for Spring Break

I had previously planned to venture abroad with the Booth Scholars program and tour Italy and Greece. While visiting I planned on learning as much as possible while enjoying a different cuisine than normal. I hoped to get a few things for the people back home and something nice for myself. I am interested to see how people live and conduct themselves on a daily basis. I already know bathrooms are designed differently and contain badays.

What if God was one of us?

If I were a God and had the chance to recreate the world I would make it like ancient Rome. I am a fan of the ancient Roman lifestyle. However I would want to be recognized as a Greek God not Roman God because I find Greek mythology is much cooler and far more interesting. For instance the God of the sea in Roman religion is Neptune , but the God of the sea for Greek mythology is Poseidon, which is a far cooler name and Poseidon has much more interesting legends.

super hero

If I had to choose a super hero to become I would choose the Green Lantern. The Green Lantern is an intergalactic peacekeeper who is feared across the galaxy by wrong doers. Every Green Lantern is issued a ring that is the source of their power. The ring makes anything its beholder believes possible. You need but think it and the ring makes it reality. With my imagination I would be the most powerful Green Lantern in the known universe.

spring break

Over Spring Break I ventured to Europe where I visited Italy and Greece. It was a wild experience where I learned much history and culture. My eyes absorbed many beautiful sights and my taste buds were blessed with the sweet tastes of Italian/Greek cuisine. Although I had a great time I am very happy to be home. I hope to learn a different language such as Italian and return someday with some of my friends.

Favorite athlete of all time

My favorite athlete of all time is without a doubt Bruce Lee. He is the greatest fighter to ever live. He was more tone than body builders and was more swift and accurate than a black mamba. No matter what sport you play or if you are just looking for guidance, Bruce Lee offers answers. He is one of the most remarkable human beings to ever grace the earth. On another note my favorite basketball player of all time would be Julius Erving. He changed the game with his fast paced style of play. He flew through the air like a an eagle soaring. I have watched many videos where he has made the once thought impossible possible. I have never asked for a basketball jersey of any player except Dr. J and I will probably never own another.

we need flash lessons

Our game is finished with the exception of coding. It is difficult to code when you haven't the slightest idea of what you are supposed to be doing. I am very frustrated with the fact that there is not an action script class prior to game design. Everything would flow so much smoother if I already had somewhat of an idea of how to code a game. All I can do is continue to struggle through the coding and continue to ask questions.

wiki pages

Team DYNAMIC DODO has a newly remodeled, rocking wiki page. I am thoroughly impressed with the changes/ edits they have made. They have added numerous pictures to make their page more entertaining. It went from mediocre to totally rocking and they should be proud of their progress. I think they have been making some improvements on their game as well so we can all look forward to an entertaining game from team DYNAMIC DODO.

other games

Although they are our rivals, Oily Bacon Fat deserves some props. They have some pro coding in their game and I am thoroughly impressed. The best game in the class in my opinion would definitely have to be Taylor and Kelsey's game. It is absolutely incredible, they have created an addictinggames quality game. All they need is coding and they have a darn good game to present.

WE NEED ACTION SCRIPT TRAINING !!!!!!!!!!!

I love game design, I really do, but there is not near enough taught about using action script to get the most out of it. No one is capable of making a good game because no one knows how to code their games properly. There are some really great games that have been thought up and created but they will never become actual games but mere picture slide shows because no one knows how to code anything. Mr. Reed is very good at helping people learn here and there but people's games are at different areas of completion and he is being forced to teach the same thing over and over again. The most efficient and logical way to solve this problem would be to simply break game design into a two part class. The first required class would be an action script training course were you would be taught how to use it. Then game design would be the second part of class where you actually get to take the skills you learned in action script and apply them to making a GOOD game.

Cad progress

My car in techniques should be pretty awesome upon completion. The wheels look absolutely amazing but the car is not up to par yet. Although it still needs work, it shows great potential and will probably be the best car in the class. Justin G. couldn't even make a car better than me. I just told a lie and am going to have to ask for forgiveness from Justin. The windows of my car need a lot of work and the windshield needs to be fixed.

Game Progress

The game is coming along quite nicely. It is leaps and bounds ahead of the first prototype I created. I have finished designing all the levels and characters but I have yet to complete the coding due to its higher level of difficulty. I hope to be able to fit in all the parts of my game I had planned for but the coding seems to be very difficult for some of the original ideas. I will work on it though and hopefully everything comes out nicely.

The Internet

Living in a high tech world requires me to use a computer on a daily whether its for school or for recreation. Honestly there are times where I skip out on being productive to play a computer game, but at the same time I use computers for a solid 45-50% of schoolwork. I personally believe the internet is a wonderful invention that has help evolve society, however it has a lot of negative side effects. Some of the information and videos available on the internet have had negative impacts on the world but at the same time education has made leaps towards combating ignorance. Unfortunately the internet is also responsible for multiple cites that have made up or misleading information. Anyone can go out and create their own website and fill it with crazy off the wall stuff and there are plenty of naive people out there that will believe it. The internet is a tool that can be used for good or evil, it can be used to better yourself or waste your life away. How you choose to use it reflects what kind of impact it is having.

screen play to my life

If I had to pick a movie to describe my life it would have to be Good Will Hunting. I like to think of myself as living the life Matt Damon's character lived. I work as a janitor at the local university solving insanely hard math equations in my spare time. I have a genius IQ and a photographic memory. My best friend is Ben Affleck and I like getting in fights just for fun.

SVHS

In the future when I have children of my own it will depend on where I live whether I send them to SVHS or not. If I still live around here I will probably send them to SVHS. It really is not a big deal so I don't know what else I can say really. As a matter of fact I have just decided my wife will home school our child and make dinner all while cleaning the house. I am just kidding about that. My child will attend SVHS if I still live around here.

Game progress

After viewing my game again I realized how unhappy I was with our previous progress. Yesterday I fixed those unhappy feelings by going back and redoing everything. I am taking much more pride in my game now and I believe it is coming together nicely. It has potential to be a best seller!

olympics

I have not watched much of the Olympics lately because I am not real big on winter sports. I think that is because I am never allowed to sled, snowboard, or ski during winter because of basketball so I never developed an interest. I am very excited to watch the U.S. Olympic basketball team play because they picked both of my favorite players to play. Kevin Durant and Dwayne Wade will absolute destroy everyone together.

snow days

I feel as though I haven't been in school for ages, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Snow has closed school for numerous days and apparently there are more to come. I have lost the chance to play significantly less basketball games than last year though. I was very surprised to see that we actually had school today but I have a feeling we will be out tomorrow. It is supposed to snow again tonight as well as next week pretty bad. I have a paper due that needs a lot of work so I wouldn't be upset with another snow day.

Breakfast food

I love all breakfast foods. From pop tarts to pancakes I love it all. Unfortunately in the mornings before school I never have the chance to enjoy a delicious breakfast but you can be sure I make up for it on the weekends. I love eggs and bacon or sausage and pancakes. I have a rather large appetite so I often have pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, and biscuits and gravy all in one sitting.

the future

If I had to imagine a really cool future that I would like to live in would be basically the exact world created by Pendragon. Pendragon is a bunch of worlds that are able to be accessed through a series of portals. All of the worlds are beautiful and exotic, but my favorite would have to be the water world. It is a world predominately made of water that is inhabited with creative animals and technology that allows people to live under water.

game progress

The game is coming along slowly. It will be a pretty solid game though once actions are added. I really want to incorporate the banana cannon into the game and finish the first epic battle game play. Overall, once the game is finished I look for it to get my team a deal with infinity ward. After I have made millions working for infinity ward I will probably retire to my own private island where I will continue to post hit games on addictinggames.com.

funny story

A story with a hint of comedy that has happened to me is the time that I ran into the monkey bars in second grade. I had a huge bruise/aching bump extrude from my forehead. It hurt with the most excruciating of pains and it made me look like a unicorn. I had to wear the purple horn for about a week and faced a horrible storm of ridicule. I also believe that that is the first time I ever suffered from a concussion.

happy times

Best thing that has ever happened to me would have to be birth followed closely by the first dribble I ever took and then Allison. Mixed in there are plenty of great times that I cherish and am thankful for. I have a lot to be happy with in my life and a lot of good times ahead of me. Also I love Papa John's pizza and I think I will get some soon to enjoy. I love Chinese food as well so I might try and get some Chinese tonight.

Unhappy times

The worst thing that has ever happened to me would have to be when I injured my knee in seventh grade. The injury plagued me all through high school and effected my athletic participation. I am just now recovered from the curse and am beginning to feel confident in my leg. (knock on wood) I do not dwell on the lost time, but rather cherish all the friendships I have made through seeing doctors an physical therapists as well as HIT center trainers. I also developed new hobbies like swimming and had the opportunity to take an awesome vacation my seventh grade summer.

tis the reason for the season

I normally hate the winter because I hate cold weather, however, this year's winter has been great thus far. School has been canceled numerous times due to weather and I am hoping for another closing tomorrow. Christmas was great and basketball is going well. I am praying for more snow to continue to make this a great winter because without school closings we just have cold and I hate the cold.

over the break

Over Christmas break i practiced basketball, played video games, and slept for numerous hours. I enjoyed opening presents this year because this is the first year I have actually asked for anything. My ipod broke a few months ago, so for Christmas I got a new zune HD touch. It is awesome and I literally haven't put it down. Also I played a lot of xbox and pc games while ingesting massive amounts of food.
